Futures Preschool/Kindergarten Enrichment Program

Futures is eager to announce the opening of our early childhood enrichment program. Our program, based upon the Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences, includes full and half-day sessions for children who are 3, 4, and 5 years old. Our goal is to offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that reflects each child's unique learning style, needs, and interests. Our curriculum not only addresses social, emotional, self-help and communication skills, but also includes lessons based upon cultural awareness, diversity, literature, fine arts, physical, language and social development. The program is designed to help build self-esteem and confidence in preschool children in a safe, fun, and nurturing play environment through physical activities, arts and crafts, tumbling, and music. Staff for this program all hold advanced degrees and experience in educational fields.

For periods throughout the day, the students will have an opportunity to work and play alongside a small group of highly autistic children who need guidance in building social skills and meaningful friendships. Being a role model helps children gain a positive attitude towards themselves and others and helps develop leadership skills.

Prerequisite skills for acceptance:

• minimal behavior problems
• average/high cognitive ability
• great communication skills

The program will run between the hours of 8:30 and 5:30. Extended hours are available upon request.

Program rates start at $9/hour.
